Meet Cory and Kim

For nearly two decades, Cory has worked in and around people's homes: through construction, remodeling, restoration, home inspections, and new-home warranty. Along the way, he saw the same frustration again and again. Homeowners shouldn't have to search for a different contractor every time something in their home needs attention, or wonder whether the person they hired will show up, communicate, respect their home, and stand behind the work.

Cory and Kim created OnCall Home Co. to build something better.

As a husband-and-wife team raising a family here in Central Indiana, they understand that a home is more than a project. It's where families live, gather, grow, and make memories. Anyone invited inside should treat it that way.

Our story: nearly two decades in the trades

Remodeling and new construction

The core of the work. Building and remodeling teach you sequence: which trade has to finish before the next one starts, and what it costs when that order gets broken to hit a date.

Insurance restoration, water and fire

Restoration work is what happens after the worst day a house has. It teaches you how water actually moves through a structure and how much of the damage is hidden from the person standing in the room.

Home inspection

Inspecting for buyers means looking at hundreds of houses with an eye trained to find the thing that was done cheaply. That perspective does not switch off when you cross over to doing the work.

Warranty management for a production builder

The least glamorous line on the list and probably the most useful. Warranty work is spending your days on somebody else's callbacks: the nail pops, the settled cracks, the doors that stopped latching in the first winter. Nothing teaches which details fail faster than being the person who has to go back and fix them.

Where OnCall Home Co. is going

OnCall is being built deliberately rather than opportunistically: vans and handymen, estimators, project managers and office staff added as the work supports them. The reason that matters to a homeowner is simple. A company that intends to be here in ten years answers the phone in year three.
